Our Main Hall was opened in 2000, and over time we have been able to expand and provide a wider range of facilities for Community Use. Waroo was opened in 2011, and MIACC Inc has adopted and applied the same management processes for Waroo; The Oval; and the two outside court areas. Our facilities are being utilized 7 days of the week , with a range of User groups hiring our facilities on a weekly basis.
Whilst our facilities are used during school hours (8am – 4pm) by students at the Maleny State High School during the school year; through community patronage and support; prudent management and close co-operation with both the Maleny State High School and the Maleny State High School P & C over the past 14 years; MIACC Inc is now proud to be able to offer two indoor buildings, and three outdoor areas for community use before 8 am and after 4pm on Week-days; on Week-ends and School holidays.

It is for the above reasons that we have badged this website as the Maleny Activity Centre. It has been developed as a communication tool to enable the people of Maleny and its surrounding Sunshine Coast Hinterland Districts to be able to keep in touch with what is happening in our facilities on a daily and weekly basis; and to promote and encourage grass roots participation in a range of sport, recreational and cultural pursuits for the benefit of our community.
MIACC Inc was established in 1998 initially to raise funds for initial construction, but its function now is to manage, maintain and improve a range of facilities for community use.
Bookings out of school hours are controlled by the committee of MIACC Inc, and it actively promotes club/community links.
MIACC Inc has its own public liability policy and ensures as a condition of use that all user groups take out and maintain their own separate public liability policy, and a copy of same is provided to MIACC.
Committee meetings are held in the Main Hall at least once every 2 months and/or as required.
All User Groups sign a User agreement that sets out their roles, responsibilities and duties while using the facility.
